Job Description
We are looking for a service oriented, creative, innovative, self starter to provide administrative oversight of our department’s aquatics programs, fields and facility scheduling, and community fine arts programs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop goals and objectives of programs to meet identified needs of community members and program participants.
  • Design, plan, schedule and implement a comprehensive aquatics program.
  • Develop and monitor individual program budgets and maintain proper accountability for fund use and collection of necessary program fees.
  • Recruit, supervise, train, observe, coach and acknowledge all program staff. Prepare staff schedules to properly manage programs and provide facility supervision.
  • Prepare and disseminate promotional materials through using various methods to reach target audiences.
  • Prepare and manage all reports, documents, and official records to ensure safety, compliance, accountability of practices.
  • Perform routine program site observations.
  • Manage scheduling of outside group facility rentals which includes collection of insurance documentation and payment invoicing.
  • Establish and cultivate positive and productive working relationships with colleagues, staff, participants, community organizations, and other program partners.
  • Ensure the delivery of high quality programming in all areas.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development for professional growth in the betterment of programs.
  • Develop, maintain and revise operational manuals and procedures for delegated program areas.
  • Provide high level customer service through all touch points.
  • Provide ongoing support, leadership and advocacy for community fine art groups.

Qualifications
Successful candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related field. American Red Cross WSI and LG certifications along with First Aid/CPR/AED required or an ability to obtain. Candidates must be able to demonstrate through experience an ability to effectively communicate with multiple populations, sound decision making and critical thinking skills.

Salary/Salary Range
$55,000 - $60,000 BOQ + benefits
