Young Professional Network
The Young Professional Network of WPRA is aimed at providing information specifically for young professionals and students in the parks, recreation, and leisure field. The Network currently has designated leaders in each of the four regions of WPRA, and conducts scheduled conference calls and communication through social media platforms in an effort to bridge communication between young professionals and student members of the state association.

WPRA Young Professional Network Leadership Positions
Chair(s) - Anthony Iracki & Derek Donlevy
The Chair's responsibility includes guiding the network, assigning tasks and/or new leadership positions, setting monthly conference call agendas, managing monthly conference calls, and overseeing the Student and Region Representatives. Additionally the chair is the network liaison to the WPRA staff, Board Members, Region Reps, Sections, and additional groups (Ex: The South East Park and Recreation Council - SEPRC).
Secretary / Social Media Manager - Katie RodgerThe Secretary / Social Media Manager's role is to ensure that notes are taken at each meeting and conference calls. These notes should then be posted, along with other important documents, to a secure cloud based location (Ex: Google Drive) shortly after each meeting. Additionally, this role will manage the Facebook and Twitter accounts for the WPRA YPN (Young Professional Network), posting updates, sharing information from other similar accounts, live streaming when appropriate, creating hash tags, and supervising comments. Finally, this role will submit to WPRA staff important information to be included in publications base on the WPRA submission timeline.
Region Representative - Adam Breest, Laura Milkie, Brandon Millner, John McDonald
The role of each region representative is to serve as the liaison between the network and the members of their region. Responsibilities can include promoting the Young Professional Network to other members, sending updates though regional email lists, discussing the YPN at regional meetings, planning YPN events or activities within your region, and serving as part of the overall "think tank" for the WPRA Young Professional Network.
Student Representative - 1 Open Position
The student representative serves as the liaison between the network and the recreation students in the state. Responsibilities can include promoting the WPRA and YPN involvement to fellow students, working with YPN and WPRA members to better serve students at conference and on campus, and serving as part of the overall "think tank" for the WPRA Young Professional Network.
